The escort card board with a true purpose

This event was all about giving back to make sure the very special couple, surrounded by their friends and family, so when creating a vision for the day, I wanted to make sure it felt super personal. In collaboration with Wish Upon A Wedding, the special couple was able to have 50 guests for their vow renewal ceremony and reception. It was important that we had brights and lots of positivity around, so after the color scheme was created, I reached out to each vendor, who were all gracious enough to donate their services / products as well.

Because it was an intimate wedding event, I wanted to do more than just escort cards or the popular escort card board with names on it. IT HAD TO BE SPECIAL, for the couple AND for the guests…something MEMORABLE.

I asked Megha if they could commit to taking the time and making the effort to write each guest / set of guests a personalized note, describing why they were so happy that the guests could make it to their renewal. She agreed, and so it began…I spoke with the calligrapher / designer, she made a rendering, we went back and forth a bit, and she created this beautiful board. Each envelope was printed with the guest(s) name and table number, along with a special, personalized note inside for them to keep. The florist added gorgeous arrangements to the board, and we placed it next to a sequin linen with floral centerpiece and candles to match.

The guests…well, their mouths dropped open every time they pulled an envelope off of the board and I explained why. It was absolutely beautiful and so memorable.
