4 easy ways to make your smaller wedding special

There are so many to do’s when planning your big day without even thinking about how to make it unique and special! Where do you start, with the tasks first or the big idea first? Of course I would highly recommend working with a creative (such as myself) from the beginning to discuss everything you want to be a part of your wedding. But what about if you get started and then realize that it’s not going anywhere? That’s where Partial Planning comes into play.

I would strongly advise you NOT to wait until the end to think about what colors or feeling you want for your wedding. It’s much harder to go backwards than it is forwards (think about life!).

Here are 4 to make your smaller wedding of 2021 truly special:

  1. Consider what you would’ve done if you had a 200 person wedding. Would the decor be similar to what you are now considering? If not, why not? Truly think about it. The last thing you want to do is feel like you are settling.

  2. I’ve been hearing people hesitate on booking musical entertainment because they are having a smaller wedding. But music sets the tone!

  3. Choose one statement piece. That could mean a huge sign behind your table or extravagant flowers on your dinner table(s). But it’s important to still make a statement with your small wedding so it isn’t at all the typical wedding.

  4. There will be restrictions, but make them a part of your wedding instead of an added “ugh.” Add a cute welcome sign with humorous wording as they wait to get their temperatures taken. In 2021, there are going to be restrictions, and guests will understand that, so instead of trying to pretend like they aren’t there, just add a bit of lightheartedness.

2021 weddings can be amazing. YOUR wedding can be SO special.
